Experience
Director Process Development
Feb 2026 — Present · Lexington, MA, US
Led and managed Cell and Molecular biology team within Process Development group to drive AAV and antibody production platform optimization and early-stage process development.• Managed all Cell and Molecular biology team activities, including project timelines and budget planning, to ensure on-time delivery of all project milestones.• Developed a novel AAV transient production platform for Voyager within a year through HEK293 cell line development and plasmid optimization; The new platform resulted in 10-fold titer improvement and increase in % Full by several fold, multi-million dollars saving for Voyager and a CEO Impact reward.• Led the cell and Molecular biology team to develop a new host HEK293 cell line by single cell cloning, transfection, clone screening, characterization, cell line stability studies, cell line testing and GMP banking. • Supervised the team to develop new generation of two-plasmid system for AAV production, which resulted in 5-10-fold titer improvement and significant increase of packaging efficiency.• Developed strategies to support voyager’s platform development for both AAV and antibody production, as well as external technology evaluation and implementation of novel technologies. • Represented the Cell and Molecular Biology team in cross-functional collaborations with research, process development, pilot and analytical teams within technical operations.• Worked as a CMC lead for multiple key programs at Voyager to set strategic direction and oversee all CMC activities from early research through candidate selection, AAV upstream and downstream process development, tech transfer to CDMO and GMP manufacturing.• Managed CDMO for CMC activities to support plasmid production, cell line banking, process transfer and AAV GMP manufacturing.• Authored and reviewed sessions to support the CMC and regulatory teams during their filings for Pre-IND and IND.
