I have 25+ years of experience in performing technical consulting studies, power system analysis and simulation, development of advanced power system models, research, proposal and report writing, training, project management, and providing advisory services to clients. I am presently a Consulting Director with Power Consulting, a business unit within Hitachi Energy. In this capacity, I am responsible for identifying, developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships with key customers in the electric power industry. I have extensive experience in transmission planning and operations studies, power system security, reliability, and resilience, grid-code compliance, renewables (land-based and offshore wind, solar etc.), reactive power planning, voltage stability, load modeling, frequency control, operating reserves, application of Inverter Based Resources (IBR), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and FACTS technologies (SVC / Statcom / series compensation), event analysis, power system restoration and blackstart studies, islanded / weak grid studies, regulatory compliance, and model development and validation.The experience I have gained during my career is rich and diverse. I have been fortunate to work with transmission system planners and operators, project developers, regulators, equipment manufacturers, R&D personnel, and C-level executives - both in the United States and internationally. This global perspective has helped me leverage my experience, develop solutions, and make strategic recommendations to my clients. Helping others overcome their challenges is my passion! I enjoy interfacing and collaborating with my peers and clients in developing solutions geared towards addressing technical challenges faced by electric utilities, ISO/RTOs and regulatory agencies. My goal is to continue to provide top-notch advisory services to my clients and to help them navigate the opportunities and challenges that future power systems present.
