ABOUT PILAR BROOKS

I create and protect beauty—the kind that nourishes healing, restores integrity, and remembers what is sacred. As the psychedelic field races forward—fueled by clinical trials, capital, and cultural curiosity—we risk forgetting the very roots of this work. Much of the Western psychedelic renaissance is being shaped at a pace that excludes the elders and Indigenous wisdom keepers who have carried these medicines for generations. My work is a response to that dissonance. I serve as a consultant, mentor, and lead integration therapist for individuals and organizations seeking to root their work in respect, reciprocity, and right relationship. Through my offerings, I support therapists, retreat centers, nonprofits, and educational platforms in developing trauma-informed, lineage-honoring, and spiritually coherent offerings. With a background in depth psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, and an ongoing apprenticeship in the Yagé Inga lineage of the Colombian Amazon, I bring a rare blend of somatic and ceremonial literacy. I specialize in consulting on curriculum design, cultural narrative strategy, and practitioner mentorship that uplifts—not replaces—the Indigenous frameworks at the heart of this movement. Whether I’m mentoring a psychotherapist learning to decolonize their practice, auditing a facilitator training program, or helping a mission-aligned organization build its narrative from the soul out—I hold the same prayer: to support the emergence of a field guided by wisdom, not just speed.
