ABOUT PILADE CORTELLAZZI

I started as a biomedical laboratory technician, and after a long academic career, I earned a degree in biotechnology, followed by a degree in biology, and specialized in clinical biochemistry. Subsequently, I completed two second-level Master\'s programs: one in hematopoietic stem cells and regenerative medicine and another in Healthcare and Social-Healthcare Services Management. Over the years, I have developed extensive experience in cell culture techniques, qualitative/quantitative biochemical analysis methods, medical genetics and molecular biology techniques, and immunohematology testing. I have also gained significant expertise in quality systems management. Currently, I hold positions such as Regional Evaluator for the Emilia-Romagna Blood System, for Medically Assisted Reproduction Centers, and Inspector for the Italian National Transplant Center (CNT) for Bone Marrow Transplant Programs. I passed the certification exam for the biology profession and am a registered member of the Order of Biologists. I worked as a laboratory technician for just under ten years in the Immunohematology and Transfusion Medicine service at the Piacenza hospital. Presently, I serve as Acting Director of the Complex Operational Unit for Innovation and Research, Clinical Pathways, and Accredited Facilities at the Local Health Authority (AUSL) of Piacenza.
