Pierre-Jacques Brault serves as Resident Director of Virginia Musical Theatre in Virginia Beach, VA, where he has staged over a dozen musicals, including: Big River, Children of Eden, Peter Pan, A Musical Adventure, The Little Mermaid and Mamma Mia. Throughout the Greater Cleveland area, Pierre was the Co-founder and former Artistic Director of Mercury Theatre Company. At Mercury, Pierre had staged many award-winning productions, including: Grand Hotel, Ragtime, Peter Pan, A Musical Adventure, Sunset Boulevard, The Scarlet Pimpernel, All Shook Up, Blood Brothers and the production that put Mercury on the map, the critically acclaimed, Honk! His work has also been seen at Ensemble Theatre (The Fantasticks), The Fine Arts Association (Seussical, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Shrek), Weathervane Playhouse (The Wedding Singer), Cain Park (The Wiz), and Heights Youth Theatre (five years and counting). For Stagedoor Manor, a theatrical camp in upstate NY, he has directed and choreographed Blood Brothers, The Utter Glory of Morrissey Hall and Oliver!A native of Cleveland, Brault has worked as a director, actor, talent agent, teacher. Pierre earned his Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre from Baldwin-Wallace University under the direction of Victoria Bussert.He is a graduate of Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Professional Pastry Arts.
