ABOUT PIERRE CHENIER
With over 34 years in the mining industry and 29 years in shaft operations, Pierre Chenier has a wealth of experience in mining. Pierre has been part of the Cementation’s Operational group for 20 yrs. In this time, he has held the positions of Shaft Supervisor, Captain, and Superintendent. He has proven his ability in many aspects of shaft sinking and off shaft development/operations during his time. Pierre excels in coordinating and supervising activities and implementing processes, always ensuring that the work is done safely and to world-class standards. Pierre has worked overseas and has been in critical roles and positions in many mining sectors, including potash, gold, copper, nickel, salt, and industrial minerals. He holds modular training transcripts in both hard and soft rock mining. Pierre has comprehensive experience in shaft sinking, and he also trained and participated in Mine Rescue for 6 yrs.
