ABOUT PIERDOMENICO ZAFFINO

More than 20 years ago, as soon as I graduated, I replied to my first job interviewer that I would have liked to work in the public sector to change the society in which I live: “Dream of a young student. And here I am” Since that moment I have always worked inside the Public Sector team for different multinational consulting companies (IBM, Accenture, PwC, Deloitte), dealing with projects aimed at changing the functioning model of different public realities (Ministries, Regions, Health Agencies, Authorities, Public Companies) and innovating public services (Public Procurement, Postal Service, Justice & Securities.). In many years, many projects done, many results achieved (I remember the launch of the first public eProcurement platform, shared postal service centers created from scratch, first digitalization in justice processes …) but many things still to be done in the public sector, to which I would like to give my contribution. What gets me out of bed every morning is the idea of ​​working for goals, the great opportunity to deal with new and different things, the challenge to build a positive work environment in my team, the satisfaction of a result achieved, the appreciation of a customer for the work done, the opportunity to challenge myself and say:\"I did it, again\" The most difficult thing? To explain to my three children what a business consultant does. After many attempts, they seemed satisfied when I said that their dad was a bit architect (because he designs projects), a bit builder (because brick after brick he builds new things) and a bit demolition worker (because he knocks down walls. especially those made to resist change!)
