ABOUT MARIA PICAZO
As a Lead Designer or Senior Product Designer, the visual aspect compliments the core functionality of the product and what users need. Users might have the ideas but they don’t know which tool will improve their lives. I need to understand where the product is going to help them and what it will look like. The product needs to help them in their work or daily life otherwise it won’t be useful especially if they have to follow too many steps. You want to avoid unnecessary friction! I am at my best when combining my creative skills with a strategic vision to make complex problems simple. Having worked in many different industries from beauty products to fashion, FMCG, finance and logistics I have had to solve many different problems that are all interlinked. When no-one knows what to do I can come up with creative solutions based on my varied experience. My communication skills and passion for design are the drivers when managing a team of designers to strive for creativity and innovation as well as managing the team strategy.
