About Pica M.
Driven fourth-year pursuing a BA at UC Berkeley in English and Media Studies, with an emphasis on Media Law and Policy. My research in Media Law and Policy concerns IP law and the legal mechanisms by which governments regulate mass media, technology, and entertainment; I am also interested in the implications of media globalization and dominant media flows for cultural differentiation, homogenization, and hybridization. My passion for English lies in the argumentative and cultural analyses of texts– from raising questions of authorship in Faulkner to performing verse analysis of Victorian poetry, I enjoy investigating and resolving issues of ambiguity and conflict within critical literary analysis. After receiving my BA, I hope to pursue a concurrent Juris Doctor and Master\'s Degree in Information Management and Systems or Public Policy.
