As the Head of Marketing & Communications at the Liyan Foundation, an Australian non-profit dedicated to transforming community planning and building in remote Indigenous areas, I work closely with our leadership team on strategic communication efforts that amplify our mission. My role involves comprehensive planning and execution of communication strategies, working closely with team members, partners, government entities, and the communities we serve. Our focus is on fostering a model of development that originates from within the community, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged in a meaningful dialogue that promotes mutual respect, pride, and two-way learning.The Liyan Foundation is at the forefront of addressing housing shortages and enhancing community development in remote Indigenous Australia. We are committed to facilitating two-way educational pathways that not only provide lifelong learning opportunities for local Aboriginal people but also allow them to impart their rich cultural knowledge and skills to the broader community. Through collaborative efforts, we are building homes and towns that nurture confidence, self-responsibility, connection, and a positive outlook for all involved. My role is pivotal in bridging gaps and uniting diverse groups to forge a brighter, inclusive future rooted in collective pride and mutual learning.
