As a Manufacturing Associate at Sutro Biopharma, I am responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations in both upstream and downstream processes. My key duties include:Operating, troubleshooting, sterilizing, maintaining, preparing, and cleaning a variety of process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, homogenizers, and chromatography systems, all in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).Ensuring accurate and timely completion of batch records and other documentation to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.Gaining proficiency in different manufacturing operations, including media/buffer preparation, fermentation, and purification, while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Facilities, Engineering, and Process Development.Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by drafting and revising SOPs and batch records, and assisting in the training of new team members.Currently piloting a program between Manufacturing and Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) to bridge the knowledge gap between process designers and operators. This initiative aims to increase engagement and knowledge sharing while optimizing production processes for greater efficiency and innovation.
