ABOUT PHOEBE SMOLIN

With over 10 years of experience in the global music and cultural industries, I am a passionate and versatile professional who thrives on creating and executing innovative and impactful projects. From the underground to the mainstream and everything in-between, I have worked with a diverse range of artists, labels, platforms, and organizations, delivering effective and engaging marketing, communications, A&R, management, and curation services. As the Director at Locamotive, I amplified, connected, and elevated the voices and stories of Latin and indie music artists through international publicity and digital marketing campaigns, Latin Grammy campaigns, international marketing and project management, and A&R. I also collaborated and consulted with leading cultural institutions and media outlets, such as RBMA, ATT, Native Instruments, KCRW, and LA Phil, on programming, content, and strategy. Additionally, I managed and toured with award-winning artists, such as Lido Pimienta, Combo Chimbita, Chancha Via Circuito and beyond and produced and coordinated meaningful events and and activations for platforms like Solidarity for Sanctuary, KCRW, and Red Bull. My mission is to bridge gaps and create opportunities for meaningful and diverse artistic expression and cultural exchange while prioritizing the care of artists and ensuring that there is always room for them.
