Throughout my career, I\'ve been passionate about delivering high-value software. I\'ve had the privilege of fulfilling a range of roles throughout my 40+ years in the industry - developer, architect, engineering leadership, even agile process coach & trainer - in a wide range of industries including fashion manufacturing/wholesale/retail, factory automation & robotics, television broadcast, financial, and product development & delivery consulting. I\'m currently on the amazing team at Nike, Inc. as a Principal Solution Architect working on what might be the largest ERP implementation ever. My focus is on foundational architecture - platforms, data integrations, near real-time streaming, observability - not just on designing state-of-the-art architecture that enables these capabilities, but also creating the pragmatic transition plans for achieving them. I\'ve remained active in my profession(s), speaking at conferences, teaching university-level courses, authoring papers & books, and giving back by mentoring those new to the game. Outside my professional endeavors, you\'ll find me making music, racing drones, and enjoying the world-class food, beer, coffee and awesome scenery of the Pacific Northwest.
