ABOUT PHIL WESTWOOD

I lead innovation, AI and digital transformation in regulated, knowledge-intensive organisations, with a focus on building enterprise capability, creating productised services, and delivering sustainable commercial impact.Currently Head of Innovation at Devonshires, I operate at firm-wide level: shaping innovation and AI strategy, influencing technology and investment decisions, and leading multi-year change that materially improves how the organisation works, competes and grows. My background spans legal services, SaaS, consulting and industry, combining strategic leadership with deep experience taking products and transformation programmes from concept through to scale. My work includes defining organisation-wide innovation and AI roadmaps; launching early generative AI solutions in the UK legal sector alongside firm-wide governance, policy and regulatory engagement; building internal AI and digital capability that improves productivity and reduces cost-to-serve; and creating new SaaS and tech-enabled service propositions, from commercial model through to go-to-market.I have led operating-model redesign, automation and workflow transformation across professional and business services teams, and regularly work with executive leadership, boards and senior stakeholders to translate ambition into clear, investable roadmaps with measurable outcomes. My approach is pragmatic, commercially grounded and product-led. I focus on moving organisations beyond experimentation into repeatable capability — embedding innovation, AI and product thinking so that value compounds over time and change genuinely sticks. I enjoy working on complex change where technology, strategy and people intersect, particularly where there is ambition to move from incremental improvement to genuinely differentiated capability.Specialties - Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Leadership - Artificial Intelligence Strategy & Adoption (incl.
