2026 Activities Update: Last year I leased my farm to a great group of young farmers. My role now is to guide their irrigation staff on improving irrigation practices on my place and for implementation on hundreds of other acres in the valley. I also provide business consulting services with a focus on building sales channels and increasing revenue. Milestone Achievement in 2024: I transitioned from corporate management into retirement. My current focus is on managing a small farm using sustainable practices, while also testing and developing products related to irrigation management and water conservation. I continue to offer limited consulting services to companies within the agricultural sector.In 2017, I partnered with a colleague in Argentina to develop an ultra-high-precision crop protection application system for center pivot irrigation. The system operates without the use of irrigation water, enabling precise product applications either across entire fields or within targeted zones. It has demonstrated improved chemical efficacy (traditional and organic) compared to chemigation, ground-based rigs, and aerial application methods. This innovation contributed to a strong pre-revenue company valuation and attracted a major investment.While employed I had a successful track record of product and sales management within both start-up and $100M agribusiness enterprises. I understand agricultural production systems, water management technologies, and the challenge of technology adoption in farming operations. VITAL WINES is a unique, industry-driven organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare and medical services for vineyard workers and their families, many of whom face significant financial barriers to care.The organization’s success reflects an extraordinary collaboration across Washington’s wine industry. High-quality wines are produced through generous donations of premium grapes from leading vineyards, combined with the expertise of accomplished winemakers from several top shelf wineries. Nearly every stage of the winemaking process is supported through donated products and professional services, including fruit, corks, capsules, labels, graphic design, laboratory services, winemaking expertise, and financial donations.Wine lovers are drawn to the exceptional quality of VITAL wines, and to the meaningful social impact of each bottle.
