About Phil Nimtz
Phil\'s brings warmth, deep insight, humor and compassion to his 20+ years of experiential training design, delivery, group facilitation and Coaching. Phil\'s passion for building effective relationships is currently focused on the challenge of working across multiple cultures at the same time. Assuming that few people wake up thinking, “Today I will focus on unproductive and negative behavior to ensure the failure of our group goals”, why is it that so many teams and organizations struggle to communicate effectively? Phil helps his clients become conscious of how personal beliefs, group norms, systemic forces and even differences in language use between native and non-native speakers of English can impact results. This awareness coupled with clear goals, commitment to new behaviors and consistent feedback lead to deeper relationships, more open communication and increased collaboration and synergy. Phil has worked with such organizations as AT & T, American Express, MIT’s Sloane School of Management, Chubb and Son, Sankyo Pharma, Sterling Drug, Merck, and Microsoft. He has worked in Europe, Taiwan, Japan, and with Latin America managers. Projects have included: Collaborative consulting and coaching for an organization of 1500+ IT professionals, train-the-trainer programs with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation and long-term organizational development with Vermont’s Department of Prevention, Assistance, Transition and Health Access (PATH). Phil has a degree in Psychology and is an ongoing student of Human and Organization Development. He is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator STEP I and II (MBTI), Will Schutz’s Human Element, Barry Oshry’s Organization Workshop, John Kotter’s ISB Leading Bold Change training and the GSL® intercultural English program. Specialties: Team and individual coaching, Leadership development, multicultural communications, GSL® intercultural English and relationship systems. Seeing Systems, Leading Change, Difficult Conversations, Feedback and Personal Development, etc.
