I am Group Leader of AstraZeneca early oncology Global Project Management. My team of ~30 project managers manage the AstraZeneca early oncology portfolio of diverse drug development projects spanning from pre-CD nomination to proof of concept. The AstraZeneca early portfolio has multiple drug modalities including small molecules, PROTACs, T-Cell Engagers, Antibody Drug Conjugates and Cell Therapies. I have over 30 years experience in pharma and biotech industries. In the past I’ve been leader of multiple antibody and low molecular weight drug discovery multidisciplinary* teams that delivered 10 candidate drugs through key milestones into early development.I’ve led or managed projects targeting the diseases: cancer/oncology (NSCLC, Prostate, CRC, HNSCC, Pancreatic, Cervical, ovarian) asthma, inflammation, COPD, pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.*Cross functional teams included experts in; biochemistry, pharmacology, crystallography, in vivo models, biomarkers, translational science, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, fragment screening, structure-based drug design, lead optimisation, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK), ADME, drug-protein interactions, toxicology, process chemistry, CMC, formulation, pharmacy, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, toxicology, clinical development and clinical operations.
