ABOUT PHILLIP WAELAND

I am an experienced MLRO, Head of Compliance, Director of Operations and strategic team leader who has honed my skills across a multitude of different industries and positions. With a background in regulatory compliance, financial crime, AML and KYC I am a customer-focused thinker who understands all elements of the value chain. Having worked in a range of high-profile companies with a proactive, commercially aware approach I have worked from the ground up, building successful, internal and external relationships to aid and implement transformation whether as a leader or as a support. I am a team player, who strives to understand the needs of others as I believe is is the only way I can do my job to my best ability. Through empowerment and driving autonomy I develop relationships on the basis of trust and a unified goal. Always willing to listen as both a manager and a team member I have learned so much more from other people than often they realise and I will always endeavour to show my appreciation. I am looking for opportunities to continue to develop my skills in challenging and progressive work environments whilst bringing my unique insight to aid businesses.
