Responsible for a budget of circa £200M, leading a diverse team of 8 to deliver satellite communication (satcom) terminals (REACHER, SKYLARK included) to all UK MOD users including Cabinet Office and allies. This includes accountability for SKYNET 5 capacity and performance management. Also responsible for satcom services to Permanent Joint Operating Bases and Welfare services for deployed personnel.• Lead satcom cyber resilience planner for all Defence operations including Carrier Strike.• Identified, scoped, agreed and delivered major technical refresh of satcom terminals to extend their life by at least 5 years. Including delivery and implementation of UHF Integrated Waveform, increasing scarce resource on time and in budget.• Led all stakeholders to maintain an affordable SKYNET 5 satcom service through high demand periods without compromising Defence output.• Supported a broad spectrum of Defence users to innovate and provided niche services particularly satcom on the move and low profile/ signature capability.
