General Manager at SusCon, North West Kent College’s exciting brand new construction training and research centre. Based at Dartford Bridge and itself reaching ‘BREEAM Outstanding’ recognition its aim is to assist the community of Kent to a safer, greener future.SusCon offers a variety of accredited courses for those seeking new opportunities or for existing trades/professionals up skilling in the industry. We also offer a variety of built environment training generic for SME’s or the local community aiming to increase knowledge of carbon literacy and sustainability policies paramount for a greener future together with level 3 & 4 training modules of sustainable buildings.SusCon are also very aware that businesses must comply with health and safety legislation for the principal safety of their employees and consideration for tender. With this in mind PASMA, IPAF, NEBOSH, SMSTS, CDM and many more are all available at the centre. SusCon is also an accredited CSCS training centre with flexible and relaxed booking times to suit busy workloads needs. Over the remaining part of the year SusCon will develop its two workshops for EAL accredited training in renewable energies together with a variety Germany’s PHI accreditied course in Passive Haus. Alongside short course training SusCon will also offer full time Diplomas and NVQ’s in Electronic Security (level 2 & 3), Sustainable Construction (level 3 & 4) and Insulation Techniques (level 2). SusCon also pioneers the way for higher apprenticeships offering HNC & NVQ in sustainable Building, ideal for all site management wishing to train in sustainable development.
