About Phillip Shin
I’m an aspiring financial educator with a background in academic mentorship. I most recently worked with APACE, an organization advocating for racial, political, and economic equity in the Greater Seattle community. During my time there, I led numerous outreach campaigns, including independent expenditures, Census 2020, along with voter education and outreach campaigns. In the past I have held the finance manager position for the Bistro at Willamette University, developing student internships and conducting financial viability analyses. I have also worked on community engagement internships for other employers. My strengths and skills include consistent and punctual record keeping, optimizing organizational systems, and quickly adapting to new environments. Colleagues know me as a highly efficient and consistent coworker who can improve upon existing processes as well as develop new ones. I can (and often do) solo work well, but I’m at my best collaborating with others.
