Experience

  1. Technical Staff

    MIT Lincoln Laboratory

    Oct 2021 — Present · MA, US

Led a study to determine how well an optical system can attenuate disturbances that effect the stability of its line of sight. Designed a control algorithm to stabilize the line of sight and led implementation and testing of it. Team includes two electrical engineers, a mechanical engineer, and optical specialists. Analysis and control design conducted with MATLAB and Simulink, implemented in C.• Conducted an analysis that demonstrates the superior accuracy and stability of vector magnetic navigation compared to scalar magnetic navigation, using experimental data. Analysis conducted in MATLAB. Led the effort as part of an interdisciplinary team including an electrical engineer and a physicist.• Developed a simulation to demonstrate fusion of stereo camera and GPS-INS measurements to produce a relative pose estimate between a pair of boats. Validated the sensor fusion algorithm with experiments that I helped to design and facilitate. Development conducted using MATLAB and Optitrack. Led the state estimation modeling effort as part of an interdisciplinary team including an electrical engineer, a physicist, and a mechanical engineer.• Developed an analysis tool to estimate the fuel and thrust requirements of a Fly Along Sensor Package (FASP) delivery vehicle that can be deployed to observe spacecraft. I used trajectory optimization and covariance analysis to plan FASP trajectories based on pre-defined spacecraft flight paths. Analysis conducted in MATLAB.
