ABOUT PHILLIP WARD

I have the honor of leading an organization that is changing the world. This is accomplished by changing the way people approach death in our community. Each time you change a death, you are changing the lives of all of those who loved and cared for that person. We are a team of compassionate professionals that brings strength and dignity to the patients and families we serve.For nearly three decades, I have served on the leadership team of Community Hospice and Palliative Care. During this time, we have grown from a small organization serving hundreds of patients to one of the largest not-for-profit providers in the nation. Our quality scores have been ranked among the top 2% of providers nationally and recognized as the best in the State of Florida. Community Hospice and Palliative Care provides services to more than annually through the care of nearly employees and another volunteers who support our work.My focus during my career has included the oversight of the administrative functions of the organization. These include information technology, human resources, business development, marketing, communications, business intelligence, compliance, and quality assurance. I love working with my team to develop and execute the strategies that drive the success of our organization.I am extremely happy in my current position, but enjoy networking with people who are driving innovation in our industry. I also enjoy speaking at conferences and events as a way of promoting best practices in our industry and strengthening the work of other not-for-profit hospice and palliative care providers.
