Designed high pressure hydraulic systems for NASA\'s Mobil Launcher 2 using AFT Fathom 10. Worked closely with the client to ensure Ground Support Equipment (GSE) program requirements were met as well as applicable industry codes including ASME B31.3, ASME BPVC, KSC-GP-425, KSC-DE-512-SM, and ISO 6162. • Created System Mechanical Schematics (SMS), also known as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P & ID, PID) for GSE hydraulic systems. • Managed suppliers during design, procurement and build cycles for complex hydraulic equipment including hydraulic manifolds, skids, and umbilical control equipment. • Reviewed and approved vendor/supplier documentation including procedures for testing, welding inspection, leak testing, and hydrostatic pressure testing, as well as reviewed vendor drawings, weld maps, general arrangements, schematics, equipment datasheets, and component data sheets to assess system applicability, performance requirement design verification. • Developed design/procurement specifications, performance specifications, acceptance test requirements, and maintenance requirements, for development of GSE. • Performed pressure drop, line sizing, heat exchanger sizing, and tank sizing calculations in support of GSE equipment design and development. • Performed facility mechanical design for DOD clients including HVAC, potable water, sanitary waste, fire protection, and facility mechanical equipment sizing and selection. Experienced with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code, International Plumbing Code (IPC), and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
