About Phillip Price

Phillip Price is Arm\'s Head of Litigation and sits in Arm\'s Austin office. He is admitted to practice law in Texas (2007) and California (2018), and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (2010) and as a Solicitor in England and Wales (2017). Phillip manages the day-to-day aspects of Arm\'s global litigation docket (including IP litigation), and he also participates in all other facets of IP risk counseling, including working with non-legal executives to understand IP legal risks, negotiating IP licenses with third parties, assessing risk in M&A deals, and crafting strategies to avoid or mitigate known risks.While in private practice, Phillip specialized in intellectual property litigation related to electrical engineering technology both in Federal District Court and in the ITC. He represented clients in more than 30 patent litigation matters involving cellular telephones and tablets, wireless communication and messaging standards, operating systems, software, networking equipment, digital media storage and playback, electronic device architecture, laptop computers, and flat panel display technology. In a similar vein, Phillip\'s practice also included pre-litigation client counseling, such as assessing the strength of potential patent assertions against competitors and evaluating the risks that non-practicing entity or competitor patents could pose in future litigation. In addition to patent litigation, Phillip\'s litigation practice also has included technology contract and political risk insurance cases. Aside from litigation, while in private practice Phillip also represented high-tech clients in patent licensing, patent acquisition, and IP valuation matters. He also has prosecuted multiple patent, trademark, and copyright applications.
