Directly oversee a team of 26 auditors located in the U.S, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Brazil. Responsibilities and accomplishments include:• Creation of a well-defined audit team to carry out the Compliance and AML reviews of the local franchises• Development and implementation of an annual audit plan spanning more than 25 comprehensive audits yearly focused on local country regulatory requirements and corporate policies and standards• Successful on-time delivery of high-quality reports containing well-founded control assessments • Establishment of effective senior line management relationships to obtain concurrence on audit findings and institute measures to strengthen the control environment• Adoption and implementation of integrated auditing concepts and use of technology• Strong ties with local regulatory authorities to foster greater understanding of the audit work and ensure regulatory expectations were met
