ABOUT PHILLIP BEAZLEY

I am a senior-level database administrator with over 20 years of operational and leadership experience in production environments focused primarily on Microsoft SQL Server, including upgrade and migration projects, performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster preparedness, security, database design/modeling, normalization, cloud strategy, data transformation, stored procedures, and overall management through SQL Server 2019 on-premises and Azure SQL Database and related technologies and applications. I am forward-thinking and always aware of operational risks and communicate to ensure leadership has ample information to make timely and safe decisions around existing environments, new environment architecture, capacity planning, and disaster recovery. My goal is to reduce risks using innovative automation solutions, standardization, and reduction of human errors through better procedural documentation and training. I adhere to and enforce standards, policies, and procedures where they exist, create them where they do not, and work with appropriate teams to implement, update, and improve them over time. I am motivated to learn every day and dedicated to instilling the same attitude of continuously advancing knowledge to those around me. In this pursuit, I am very generous with my time and expertise to those who genuinely wish to enrich their skills. I am a decisive, yet approachable leader and I am highly responsive to internal and external business and client needs. I always prefer to do things the right way the first time and strive to provide stable long-term solutions over simply applying a band-aid.
