Barret Award for Distinguished Performance in Psychiatry. While a medical student, he conducted research at the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Center. He completed his psychiatric residency at Florida Atlantic University.Prior to medical studies, he worked as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Psychiatric Hospital and conducted research at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in economics with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
