ABOUT PHILL HOPKINS CNVP

I have always had a passion for IT since leaving school and joining an apprenticeship. I’ve been working in the IT industry since the age of 25 and my experiences are based around the installation of physical network infrastructure, progressing onward to design & installation management and IT Project Management.To me on-going self-development is very important and have been self-learning programming, Linux OS and L2/L3 networking. Over the years I have purchased various servers, Cisco network switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN AP’s and have gained a very good level of practical experience. 2020 has given me the gift of time to study and an opportunity to take a passion to the next level.I am a committed and hardworking individual with a demonstrable ability to communicate and build customer relations. I have previously worked in fast paced business critical environments and can deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. I work well within a team and through experience have developed sound leadership skills, I take ownership of my tasks and always look to exceed expectations where possible.I have 25 years’ experience working within the IT industry, I firmly believe that my background gives me a strong base to move into an IT support role. I have always been in customer facing roles and feel this will be of value to any potential employers. I am passionate about IT & Technology and have a commitment to learn & understand new technologies and how they can be used to enhance my current job position.
