Version1 are a multinational digital consultancy and services provider with a strong presence within the public sector. This role was via a recent acquisition of Version1 - FarSight Consulting - an organisation specialising in User Centred Design aligned to the Government Digital Services principalsInitially engaged to the leadership of an existing government delivery which, at the time, had lacked dedicated project and delivery management for an extended period. This was to hard, very near term deadlines in conclusion of a multi-year project, with major financial implications if not met.With less than two months to final delivery, successfully triaged the scope, restructured the delivery, developed revised estimation and implemented delivery tracking, enabling those target(s) to be met - whilst at the same time not impacting the velocity of the existing hybrid team.Post delivery, engaged the team and leadership to rework ways of working, embedding improved backlog management and traceability, and regeared the User Centred Design functions to a more iterative approach. A key challenge was to bridge the divide between UCD and Build that had arisen through the previous drive to target before the engagement began.Developed integrations between the roadmap and backlogs and, with transition to a \'run\' basis, began take on of the Product Manager role. Implemented knowledge capture and management to remove silos within the team, enable effective onboarding, and improve engagement with the wider organisation.Extended stakeholder engagement and clarification of contact routes through outreach to teams and knowledge capture of same. Currently in the process of proposing a move to Continuous Discovery.Through volunteering with the newly established Version1 EMPO, have advised on developing guidance for delivery managers across the organisation, and engagement with same, and on an effective stage based and periodic \'audit\' mechanism to support and assist deliveries
