Discovery Communications is a global leader in real life entertainment and sports. Discovery has over 2.9 billion subscribers worldwide and brands which include the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and Eurosport. • Responsible for migration and expansion of live event and linear simulcast channels worldwide as part of Global Video Platform. • Involved in the delivery of the global streaming Discovery+ product across 9 platforms including Web, iOS, Android, Connected TV, Roku and Chromecast. • Helping build the global DTC service for Discovery Inc. spanning leading brands and reaching audiences in 220 countries. • Delivered programmes of work based around the international technology platforms using AWS infrastructure. • Lead MUX player upgrades across all Discovery products and platforms including Eurosport, Dplay, FNK and Motor Trend. This quality of experience data insight helped us focus on areas of improvement for video streaming to give the customer the best product experience.
