About Philip Warnock
I am a student at the University of Delaware pursuing a BS in Economics and BS in Political Science in the Class of 2027. I am from Wilmington, Delaware. In high school, I achieved multiple years of honors as well as the Delaware Certificate of Multiliteracy in Spanish and English. I placed on the Dean\'s List during the Fall 2024 semester at Wilmington University and the Spring 2025 semester at UDel. I am currently working hard as an intern in the fast-paced, versatile, service-oriented environment of the Delaware Department of State. The Dept. of State manages many Delaware agencies and advises lawmakers on the effects of their legislation on State operations. The Department also houses the DE Division of Corporations, which manages over 1 million business entities incorporated in Delaware, including over 66% of the Fortune 500 list. My position has strengthened my knowledge of political, economic, and corporate interactions, as well as increased my desire to pursue meaningful work in public service. I also learned, despite some bad papercuts, that I greatly enjoy working in a professional environment which plays a large part in my community and the world. In the past I have worked several different roles for different companies in the restaurant industry. My experience attending to customers, working together with my coworkers, and exceeding expectations of management instilled in me values of patience, consistency, and attentiveness to my work and all others. In the future I plan to pursue a J.D and MBA degree. I am excited to apply my values, experience, and skills to making the world a better place.
