Powertrain Engine Launch is responsible for the planning and execution of all new Launch programmes for JLR in the UK and follow up sites worldwideWorking with the plant operations teams to support and deliver the objectives of the launch programmes with new model programmes, ensuring that all activities meet expectations in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment. Responsible for the support, coordination and delivery of key launch practices and systems to achieve targets in terms of quality and timing. Key Responsibilities:• Working closely with a team of product coaches to enhance learning and launch activities and tactics.• Assist in the planning and delivery of workforce readiness including recruitment and training.• Ensure all quality planning activities are completed robustly and on time.• Ensure rigid adherence to the Plant Launch Quality Operating System.• Support all launch timelines and adhere to rate of climb plans.• Provide technical assistance to bring equipment on line within cost and timing guidelines.• Support the implementation of factory information systems.• Ensure successful completion of Plant prototype build and effective concern/corrective initiation to rectify issues.• Support and assist the Make Like Production activities in the Engine Plant.• Engage in the role out of a standard cadence across all Production lines to the Productivity, Maintenance and Safety Operating Systems.• Lead the Part Submission Warrant (PSW) preparation activities and production volume ramp. • Create and track launch metrics and report the status to Site operations on regular cadence within key stages of launch.• Transition the facility from launch mode to production readiness
