ABOUT PHILIP RAYNOR

As a motivated, experienced and rounded team and business leader I have been working within the flood risk management field for the last 21 years developing and implementing a wide range of technical and commercial skills across the full extent of flood risk management activities. My strengths lie in my range of experience, a strong analytical approach and a strategic view that enables me to assess and determine the best options for the business and for my clients.Always keen to motivate the team and the people I work with on project and strategy delivery, I have a real interest in driving innovation, which I see as a key factor in commercial delivery across the business. I have a strong technical background in flood risk management, excellent leadership skills and a solid understanding of the commercial realities of our business, and aim to deliver at the highest level whilst tackling detailed and technical concepts to achieve success.I have specific experience with the technical and commercial delivery of flood risk management orientated projects for private and public sector clients in the UK and elsewhere, including flood risk assessments at a site level, through Strategic Flood Risk Assessments, Preliminary Flood Risk Appraisals, Surface Water Management Plans, SOCs, OBCs, Options Appraisal, Economic Assessment, EIAs, SuDS studies and hydrological analysis and monitoring studies. Also interests in surface water and urban flood risk, upland hydrology and economics.Recent roles include Regional Operations Manager of our northern England business, in which I was responsible for four multidisciplinary teams of more than 100 staff. I was also Head of HydroInformatics, driving the growth of this small team that combines domain knowledge in the water and flood risk management sector with digital and technology skills. Most recenty, I\'ve taken on technical leaderhip and integrator roles working in partnership with clients to further integrated water planning and management. Other roles include technical assurance on some of our key projects in the water and flood risk sectors.
