ABOUT PHILIPPE SAUER
Graduated in electrical engineering at ISEN engineering school - Lille, France, and Manchester University, UK in 1992. I also hold a post graduate master degree from EDHEC business school in France. After a first career step in Alstom T&D, I soon joined Schneider Electric, where I am now working for over 20 years. At Schneider Electric, after having held different positions such as contract manager and tendering manager for international projects in electrical distribution, I became North-east Africa Operation Director in 2003, based in Cairo, Egypt. After 5 successful years, I returned back to France to lead the Global Low Voltage Line of Business, a core activity of the company. Back to Business operations in July 2014, as Regional President, South-east Europe of Schneider Electric, and Managing director & CEO of Schneider Electric Greece - based in Athens. I held this position during 3 years. Lately, since July 2017, I became VP Energy and Field Services for France. In addition to my responsibilities inside Schneider Electric, I also was the President of the CAPIEL, the European association of low voltage switchgear & controlgear manufacturers, from 2011 to July 2015. Last, i was appointed as french export trade advisor (CCEF) in March 2015.
