As Project Manager for a number of Oxfordshire County Council highway improvement scheme totalling over £1.5m in design fees, I am leading a team of specialist engineers developing designs, traffic modelling and environmental assessments at both feasibility and preliminary design stage to enable them to be submitted for planning. I am collaborating with the Client and their critical friends to ensure the tight planning application deadlines are met, whilst reporting progress and contractual obligations to the Client to ensure for a successful scheme delivery. As Technical Delivery Lead for the $250m Saudi Arabia Al Ula project, I am currently managing a team of specialists engineers in delivering the detailed design within a 12 week programme for a 26km stretch of road, constraints near UNESCO heritage sites, WADI flood plains and overhead transmission lines have been managed to ensure the designs are constructable. I report progress and issues to the Client weekly and ensuring key stakeholders are accepting the detailed design package that is due for construction in 2022. Follow on packages are also planned. As Lead Verifier for the Streets Team I review submission of documents and drawings for projects we have in the team to ensure they meet the Clients brief, processes are followed and that the quality of work is maintained at its highest. As Mobility Lead for the Saudi Arabia Al Ula project, I reviewed the technical delivery of other consultants roads, access and NMU provisions work ensuring the designs meet the master plan objectives, codes of standards and ensuring they are fit for purpose for Al Ula. As Highways Lead, I am providing technical roads inputs for a number of rail depot improvements schemes that AECOM are designing for Network Rail through their GRIP process. This involves detailed discussions with the rail team and Client to ensure the highways team provide fit for purpose designs.
