ABOUT PHILIPPE LUYET

I am a New York qualified Attorney (admitted in 2021) and an International Arbitration Associate with 1.5 years’ PQE. Since September 2021, I have been an Associate in the US Law Firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s International Arbitration team in Geneva. During my employment with Orrick, I was heavily involved in several high-value, multi-jurisdictional arbitrations and litigations (with a focus on both civil law and common law instructions), including an $84m arbitration seated in Madrid, governed by New York law, in relation to the construction of a photovoltaic powerplant in the Americas, a $2.5m arbitration at the Swiss Arbitration Centre in Geneva, governed by Swiss law, pertaining to the sale of coal products in Eastern Europe following the war in Ukraine, and representing a developer in a multi-million dollar litigation regarding the construction of a financial centre in the Middle East. I am now seeking to relocate to London and wish to accelerate my career with a leading disputes practice. Additionally, I am a graduate of the University of Lausanne (Magna Cum Laude, 2016) and New York University (LLM in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration, 2020). I am a Swiss National, speaking French (native), English (fluent, written and spoken) and German (conversational). I am eligible for a UK High Potential Individual visa and I am immediately available for an interview. As a personable and approachable individual, I enjoy meeting new professionals.
