ABOUT PHILIPPA WILSHAW

I am proud to oversee KPMG’s GVA Mining Practice where I act as the lead partner on global audits of KPMG clients, primarily in the mining sector. I focus on serving publicly listed companies in the United States and Canada through which I am experienced with public entity regulatory requirements including those arising from PCAOB audits, including audits of internal controls over financial reporting, SEC and Canadian securities filing requirements, a broad base of IFRS and US GAAP and the public offering process. I am also a member of KPMG in Canada’s Board of Directors, providing oversight of the firm’s strategic business planning, quality-control processes, operations and other partnership matters. Additionally, I am a member of the GVA Audit Management Committee and Co-Lead of KPMG’s Board Leadership Centre in GVA. I was formerly the Develop Leader for the GVA Audit Practice where I was responsible for driving our people strategy, including our Women in Line for Leadership activities. As a committed advocate for diversity, I am also a member of KPMG’s Women in Leadership Council.I participate in a number of charitable and community bodies and am currently delivering an Audit Committee Module for the Institute of Corporate Directors.
