Expert Modeling Formulation Processes @Bayer

I work at the Process Technology Unit of Bayer and my main tasks are:Management of interdisciplinary and international projects with all three divisions and technical leadership of laboratory teams with the focus on drug product (tablets & powder) and seed processes. Developing and applying mechanistic modeling tools, process data analysis and laboratory experimentation to develop or optimize solid formulations and granular processes (e.g. investigation of tabletability).Building up expertise in the field of roller compaction and successfully applying this knowledge to optimize and transfer dry granulation processes.In addition, development of expertise in the field of tablet lubrication and the scale-up of spray drying processes from laboratory equipment to pilot plants.Using Discrete Element Simulations to analyze and optimize granular processes.Provision of expertise powder material properties and their impact on drug manufacturability and final product performanceSupervision of cooperations with several international academic partners at different levels (bachelor/master/phd) to deepen the understanding of process engineering and of tools which can advance and improve powder processes.Besides being a formulation expert, I\'m also a DSO (Dynamic Shared Ownership) champion, helping and coaching my coworkers to get used to the new way of working at Bayer and supporting department heads in transforming their teams.
