About Philipp Alexander Burchartz

Philipp is currently working as Principal in the Corporate Strategy Department with responsibility for various strategic projects including the Strategic Dialogue with Allianz SE and Allianz Life’s Business Strategy. Prior to that he worked as a Principal in the Strategic Finance Team within the Financial Consulting department at Allianz Life US. There he worked on various strategic projects and initiatives such as M&A, Reinsurance Solutions, Strategic/Planning Dialogues with the parent company, Rating Agency relations as well as competitive analysis. Besides Philipp was the Finance Lead in AIM’s Buffered ETF Project. Previously he worked as an Accounting & Solvency II Expert at Allianz’s global headquarters in Munich, Germany. In this function his main tasks included the preparation and coordination of the SFCR/RSR of Allianz SE, quarterly closing, own funds projections and Solvency II planning as well as quarterly QRTs. Prior he worked as a Senior Financial Analyst in ARAG’s Head Office in Germany. His main tasks involved Solvency II & HGB Accounting, US GAAP & Norwegian GAAP revaluation as well as the management of ARAG’s alternative investments. Furthermore he worked as a Finance/Business Management Expat in ARAG\'s US-office and as a Project Manager for the De-Merger of ARAG\'s Life Insurance Business where he was part of the PMO and coordinated all Group Finance related topics. Philipp also successfully led a Solvency II project within Group Finance with the aim of creating a Solvency II Balance Sheet in SAP. Besides he worked in the CFO office of the ARAG Group where he assisted the CFO in all finance related topics and projects. He graduated with honors as a Master of Science in Business Administration (\"Diplom Kaufmann\") with majors in Corporate Finance, Corporate Development and Energy Economics. Before he joined ARAG SE, he worked as an intern / student trainee for several companies in the Controlling, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investment Management / Asset Management and Audit Department. Philipp speaks 3 languages (German, Spanish and English) and has lived in 4 countries (Germany, USA, Mexico and Belgium).
