Currently the Regional Technical Advisor for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases for the 10 countries in CDC’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia regionMost recently, the Influenza and Animal-Human Interface Director in CDC Vietnam from 2019 to 2024Over 22 years working in field of applied clinical research, epidemiology, and policy in a wide range of topics, but mostly working on vaccines and vaccine related issues, Current interests include- influenza and pandemic influenza planning- respiratory viruses and respiratory virus vaccines- epidemiology and statistical methods using large databases for vaccine safety and efficacy analyses- development of economic models to assess preventable disease burden and support vaccine uptake and utilization- global health engagement and use of metrics to assess effectiveness of these engagements- tropical medicine education and training
