ABOUT PHILIP CHALMERS

Head of Operations within the safety and construction sector, responsible for driving operational excellence across facilities, R&D, logistics, manufacturing, quality, and customer service. A trusted member of the senior leadership team at Leach’s, ensuring robust Health & Safety compliance, ISO standards, and efficient operational performance. Proven in translating strategic objectives into safe, practical, and scalable operations while leading teams to deliver consistent service, quality, and productivity.I possess well-developed operational leadership abilities and a huge familiarity with training and putting together a top-notch team able to optimize operational safety awareness, establish quality assurance initiatives and implement procedural methodologies for compelling operational models.Though fluent in the intrinsically stringent world of construction, aerospace, manufacturing and operations, I remain a born petrol-head. My dissertation and ultimately, the pinnacle of my work from my time at the University of Aberdeen was F1 focused, titled ‘The Effect of Suspension Geometry on Squat and Dive during acceleration and breaking’. The above passion for all things mechanical combined with my leadership skills and industry experience sit me in a prime position to thrive in any engineering, operations or manufacturing leadership based role. I am a chartered manager and member of the CMI, with Level 5 qualifications in operational & departmental leadership.
