   Senior Director, Proactive Notifications and Messaging (June 2022 – Present) Senior Director, Software Development and Engineering (March 2018 – June 2022) Director, Software Development and Engineering (March 2016 – March 2018) Oversee multiple software delivery teams: two messaging platforms (SMS, MMS, and email) and their supporting peripherals; three web applications supporting Care related functions; one middleware Java policy orchestration application and its supporting peripherals; a Big Data team focused on Hadoop, NiFi, and Trino needs; and an AI/ML platform focused on a variety of improper user behavior detections. A few key achievements in this role include: Established a new engineering group comprising 30+ software developers, product engineers, project managers, quality assurance testers, data engineers, data analysts, ML engineers, and operation engineers to provide technical expertise on tools and technology implementations and to automate and support Anti-Abuse Desk services. This enabled the effective management of hundreds of millions of customer issues and billions of customer emails. Compiled quarterly and annual budget forecasts for departmental funding requests. Leveraged and administered other operational budgets as sources to fund a variety of contractor activities. Negotiated and managed contracts on staff augmentation and software licensing with vendors, resulting in more effective repurposing of over $1M annually. Ensured optimal departmental capacity and delivery capabilities by regularly evaluating staff and vendor performance, meeting overall team needs, and resourcefully managing budgets to achieve financial goals. Transitioned entire Care Operations to a work from home setting during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was so immediately successful that the department shut down onsite operations to remain virtual saving nearly $2M annually.
