I joined Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor to inspire serious, long-term, individual investors to spend more time enjoying the beautiful things they love by understanding what\'s important to them and adding personalized value to their unique situation.I graduated with a bachelor\'s degree in finance from Texas A&M University in 2012. However, it wasn\'t until I met a friend who has been with Edward Jones for 20-plus years that I realized a financial career could be deeply personal and rewarding. I joined Edward Jones after careful consideration of the responsibilities I would be taking on and how they would impact my family. My wife and I came to the conclusion that the core values of Edward Jones perfectly aligned with those of our own.My wife, Rachel, and I have been together since 2013. We have a son named Cooper and a daughter named Monroe. One of our greatest joys is watching them learn and grow. I grew up in Spring/Klein and am an Eagle Scout of Troop 331. Those who know me well describe me as a natural networker and a renaissance man. In college, friends even called me \"Fix-It Phil.\" A portion of that moniker is the result of growing up building hotrods with my dad. I spent three years serving on the board of our neighborhood HOA and I continue to serve on the media team in my church. I am honored by the opportunity to help protect the values of our community.In my free time, I enjoy woodworking, gardening and cycling, all of which we do as a family. Family is the reason for everything I do. In fact, one of the more profound sentences I\'ve heard in recent years says it better than I ever could.\"Don\'t let the beautiful things we love, become the beautiful things we miss.\" It has become a phrase my wife and I discuss often and serves as a reminder to prioritize. I believe this translates well into my purpose as a financial advisor.
