Over 20 years experience supporting health policy development and implementation in the Department of Health and NHS England, working with a variety of senior stakeholders across the health sector and industry on high profile topics such as- the development of place based partnerships in Integrated Care Systems and effective partnership working to move towards data driven, population based, preventative care- population health management - supporting health systems embed data, analytical and improvement capabilities across frontline teams to enable proactive and integrated care models that support a focus on the wider determinants of health and health inequalities- supporting local health systems to make optimal use of external experienced and innovative partners who can support digitalisation and data integration, advanced analytics and decision support tools, care transformation and personalisation- creating commercial vehicles that both simplify the way local health systems engage and access external partners (maximising value for money and protecting NHS assets) and which stimulate interest and investment from innovative organisations looking to build trusted relationships to support improvements in the quality and experience of care to patients- setting up and operationalising Commissioning Support Units under previous health reforms ensuring they meet customer need and move towards semi independent and self sustaining entities- leading the formal public consultation and policy options around how to enable patients to register with a GP practice of their choice (eg through out of area registration)- leading numerous policy initiatives to improve access to, and the responsiveness of, family doctor services and improvements to primary care contracting arrangements- developing policy around GPs with a special interest- supporting the establishment of NHS Walk in CentresIn depth knowledge of the health legislative framework.
