ABOUT PHILIP T.

As a child, I loved the stars, planets and all things space. I wanted nothing more than to throw on a space suit, step outside into the great beyond and explore the mysteries of the universe. And as any good explorer, I would perform maintenance on my rocket engine and spaceship, ensuring I could keep going. Eventually I realized I would rather explore the mysteries of the rocket engine and began to focus on the elegant design and engineer of such wonders. My hard work paid off, turning my childhood fascination into an education at the Imperial College of London, studying aeronautical engineering, the perfect stepping stone to developing rocket engines and helping explore our vast solar system.While at Imperial, I gained some amazing experience and memories in my role as the propulsion lead of the ICL Rocketry team. While there, two separate hybrid engines were developed and tested, with me leading the latter engine\'s development and test campaign. I could end my time at ICLR by ensuring successful entry to EuRoC 2022, where our hybrid engine will fly for the first time. As a recent graduate, my love for rockets still stands strong and I am more excited than ever to enter the industry and work on designing, building and testing a variety of propulsion systems for rockets. I am a passionate and ambitious worker, keen to gain experience with both launch and in-space propulsion technologies, hoping to one day lead the development of these systems myself and help explore the vast universe out there. Experiences with: Propulsion systems, hybrid engine thrust chambers, pressurised fluid systems, rocket engine development cycle, rocket engine testing, heat transfer & thermal simulations, Python, MATLab, Fusion 360 CAD, leadership and effective team communication.
