Position: Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner at IMechE Argyll RuaneDuties include the provision of services to meet client’s needs ranging from training, examination, certification, support services and consultancy. Industry sector work ranges from nuclear through to general engineering and aerospace. The training areas of responsibility include, magnetic particle, penetrant, ultrasonic, visual and thermal, infrared methods, in addition to metallurgy based training modules and Aerospace Materials Evaluation methods: Hardness Testing, Conductivity Testing, and Acid Etch Inspection for machine abuse of steels and Anodic Flaw Detection.Examination areas of responsibility include Level 3 examiner for SNT-TC-1A, EN 4179 and NAS 410 employer-based certification schemes and PCN GEN third party certification scheme.Consultancy areas of responsibility include assuming full technical responsibility for clients NDT facilities in role as Outside Agency Responsible Level 3, much of this work is for Aerospace NDT to ensure clients meet NADCAP and Aerospace Prime’s requirements.
