Axiobionics designs, manufactures and distributes neuroprosthetic devices to manage pain and the effects of neurological conditions. Neuroprosthetics (also referred to as neural prosthetics or neuro-prosthetics), is a discipline which encompasses the integration of neuroscience and bioengineering concerned with providing potential solutions to people with neurological and/or neuromuscular impairment. The approach often involves the use of a wearable device or other material application which is used to enhance, modulate, or replace the input and/or output of a neural system to assist or augment human performance. The care of some conditions may require the use of an implantable neuroprosthetic device. A neuroprosthetic can be used to help ease the suffering of an individual with a movement disorder and help them overcome challenges associated with physical disability. Neuroprosthetic solutions may be applied using bionics, exoskeletons, implantable devices, and wearable therapies.
