Started a New Role within Gestamp as a Lead Chassis Engineer in the Process Assembly Team. Previous position held - Senior R&D Design Engineer for an Automotive Chassis Design and Manufacturing Company.Previous Projects involved include: Ford / Volvo C class Platform incl. Kuga, Focus, Luga, C30, ConnectHonda Civic RTB, CRV Front FrameBMW / Mini 2006 Front Frame, 2012 Rear Frame, Crash CansVW Transporter Front FrameVolvo SPA platform 20••••22 XC and S class VehiclesVolvo GPA Platform RFQGeely Cevt MMA PlatformPrior to current role I worked as a Mig / Mag Welding Robot Programmer in XRC ERC and NX100 Motoman control based in a high Volume Manufacturing faciltiy.Engineering skills:Engineering and Production practices Motoman Robotics control and Maintenance incl. ERC, MRC, XRC and Nx100, Weld analysis and control. Weld Inspection - MPI, NDT, Macro etching Fully computer literate, with experience in all Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Design and Development Practices/Experience Proficient in the following CAD Package: Catia V5 Solid modelling and Surfacing. Experience in: Nx Ideas and Solid Works. Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance Drafting to Asme 14.1 /ISO / Ford Standard DFMEA/ PFMEA Trained to Ford Standard SAP PLM System Trained – ERP and MRP/MRP II aware. Design for Manufacture - Analysis and Reviews. Design verification, testing and targets – Strength, Stiffness, Weight, Durability, fatigue, Road holding Characteristics, NVH and performance. CAE Analysis aware. Prototype testing, incl. Physical Rig Testing Commercial Awareness – Costs versus performance. Bill of Materials creation. Design and Development from Initial RFQ, Concept through to full Production. Customer and Supplier Liaising – Managing the expectations of the customer and interacting with 2nd Tier suppliers to achieve those expectations in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. People Management - Achieving best results by managing an effective team. Continuous Improvement.
