Liverpool, GB

I joined Curtins Liverpool office as Technical Director in January 2014 with responsibility for the successful delivery of all Civil & Structural Engineering projects within the office. I implemented the Curtins Integrated Management System, ensuring all projects were carried out to our certified high standards for quality, health and safety and sustainability. I also assisted in the identification of business growth strategies within the company.I subsequently transitioned to a national risk and compliance role, responsible for the development and implementation of the Curtins management systems across the business. I was responsible for quality and continual improvement within the company, auditing of our 14 offices and ensuring we complied and remained certified in line with the requirements of the following management systems: • BS EN ISO 90••••15) • BS EN ISO 14•••••15) • BS ISO 45•••••18)I developed an excellent technical background over the years in delivering high quality, safe and sustainable designs in a practical manner. I gained great experience of designer’s duties under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations, complemented by obtaining IOSH approved qualifications in Health & Safety Leadership and Environmental Management. This provided an excellent foundation for this role.I was promoted to Board Director for Risk & Compliance in January 2022. I am now responsible for providing strategic guidance for the effective management of risk across the business operations and the development of all necessary policies, procedures and systems for ensuring compliance across key areas (Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management and Information Management using BIM).
